Shaynor earned his B.S. in Ecology from Baylor University and both his MDiv and DMin degrees from Truett Theological Seminary. He spent his first twelve years of vocational ministry as a campus minister at New Mexico State and Baylor Universities. After that, Shaynor spent nearly eight years as a pastor overseeing church revitalization work in Oregon. His DMin focus and dissertation was on the dynamics of growing post-Christian communities and how those of faith are to posture ourselves toward them.
Shaynor is certified in the RightPath behavioral assessment tool and as a RightPath Coach. He is also currently pursuing The Allender Center’s Narrative Focused Trauma Care Level 1 certificate as well as moving toward certification in Internal Family Systems therapy.

Additionally, he brings a love for theology combined with his own lifelong story in the church as well as his story of trauma, grief, and the often-lurching process of healing. Shaynor particularly enjoys partnering with those who simply don’t know where to turn, whose faith experience has left them unsure whether psychological care is safe, or those who carry the fear that the problem is solely some deficiency in their faith. Daisy is passionate about helping adults and couples determine the changes they need or want to make in their lives to meet their goals, whether those goals are personal, relational, or professional. Change is a natural part of life, and yet it can be challenging and even, at times, paralyzing. However, change can also provide us with opportunities to grow and become the kind of people we aim to be.
Finding out what those goals are and how to get there is a collaborative process between client and therapist. Daisy is consistently inspired by people who show resilience and persevere through very tough times as they seek solutions to their problems. She is honored to walk with them as they make that journey and is always changed by the process as well.
In particular, Daisy is passionate about working with couples who are seeking to improve their relationship, those who are struggling with interpersonal conflict, identity development, communication, life stage transitions, depression and anxiety, stress-management, self-esteem issues, and grief, loss, and trauma. She is also happy to provide faith-based counseling if it is requested by a client.
Daisy earned a Master of Counseling from Criswell College, and is supervised by Lance Gardner, LPC-S. She loves the outdoors and spends almost as much time in her backyard as she does inside her house. She enjoys cycling, reading, and trying out new hobbies, in addition to walking her dog, Lily, whom she lovingly refers to as a “Terrier-ist.”

Welcome to the Family Restoration Counseling, where I am honored to serve as a therapy intern. With years of training in advanced therapy techniques and a successful track record as a life and relationship coach, I am dedicated to helping individuals and couples overcome stubborn issues and rebuild broken relationships.
Individual Counseling: As your therapist, I prioritize uncovering and treating the root causes of your emotional and behavioral challenges. While behavioral management techniques and coping skills have their place, I firmly believe that true healing comes from addressing the core emotional wounds and negative beliefs we all carry. Together, we’ll delve deep into the core issues, facilitating profound transformation in a shorter timeframe.
Couples Counseling: Communication is the lifeblood of any relationship, and I specialize in helping couples express their needs and emotions in a respectful, yet assertive manner. By fostering healthy communication, we can turn disagreements, disappointments, and hurts into opportunities to deepen love and strengthen the bond between partners.
Family Counseling: Within the family unit, parents play a crucial role in shaping the dynamics and interactions. By proactively meeting their children’s emotional needs, modeling respectful communication, and establishing healthy boundaries, we can create a warm, safe, and loving environment for the entire family to thrive in.
