Madelyn Cotter is a graduate school intern at Dallas Theological Seminary, where she is pursuing her Master of Arts in Counseling. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Texas A&M University, providing a strong foundation in understanding relational dynamics, emotional processing, and patterns of human behavior. Madelyn works with individuals and couples as they navigate life’s challenges, particularly those shaped by difficult experiences, relational wounds, and seasons of transition. She is especially passionate about supporting adolescents, young adults, and couples, offering a compassionate and trauma-informed approach that prioritizes safety, trust, and meaningful growth.
Following graduation, Madelyn plans to pursue LPC licensure in the state of Texas and continue developing her clinical skills to support deep and lasting healing. She views counseling as a calling and believes that genuine change and freedom are possible when people are met with empathy, wisdom, and hope.
In her free time, Madelyn loves cooking, reading, and, having grown up in the Piney Woods of East Texas, soaking up all the time she can in the great outdoors. She and her husband love to travel, try new recipes, and spend time with their dog, Maverick.
